That log made me a believer in VP101.
Other than that, I'd like to thank cobb for posting the datalog.
For someone like me that doesn't claim to be a pro tuner, and doesn't plan to ever sell my self or a tune to someone else, that kind of stuff is very good information.
Cobb is not the one we'd have to talk to about 1/4mile time slips, that would be TST. And since it wouldn't be free, Matt is not going to spend the money on a 3rd party dyno ( Which I could understand that ). And I wouldn't hold your breath on a trap strip time slip from TST either. I'd imagine they could borrow some really nice stuff from motortrend to get acceleration numbers, but then of course, the mph wouldn't be comparable anyway.
So in the end, I'm just happy to have learned a few things about there tune, and that VP101 and/or oxygenated fuels may actually be worth $14 a gallon for 1 or 2 trips to the drag strip or dyno.
As far as anything else, I'm under and over it, I've moved on and i think we all should do the same and "agree to disagree" if that's a option.
I wi be looking forward to RX7's pro-tune on VP101, and well as the 3rd party dyno that is sure to follow, then we can restart this debate if its warrantied.
It shows that if you bought the cobb intercooler, at those boost levels, its extremely efficient at what it does.
It also shows a few spots were cobb could have added a little.
