I wondered if you'd pop in! Car looks good and the handling seems pretty good in the short drives I've taken. Time for some 15s/16s and a 4x100 conversion.

Drained the old trans oil, put in the BG Synchro oil.

What a world of difference. I only drove it around the block, but could immediately tell the difference.

Fluid was a little low from factory.

Easy job. Didn’t even have to remove the factory airbox.

10/10 would recommend

You guys have all that oil money, whereas Illinois has a bloated public pension system.

attempted to install a new Turbosmart EM VR2 Plumb back only to have the Solenoid split from the wires.

Reached out to Turbosmart and they’re sending a new one free of charge... I can’t help but want to support a company that takes care of their customers!

That is the 2nd or 3rd one I've seen that had wires fray/break. Is this common?

Not sure on my end, it’s my first Turbosmart. However the company mentioned they hadn’t seen something like it before from a brand new unit. They’re sending me the part though for free, which is nice because the solenoid just unscrews with a 11mm wrench

Dish soap wash yesterday to strip away any wax left over from 2 years ago (yes, I know, bad paint parent) and did a full pass with the clay bar today.
Pleasantly surprised how clean the paint was for how long I neglected it.....other than the gem pictured below.

Rest of the seam feels decent until the other corner. Hasn't wrapped around to the visible side yet, so going to knock off what I can, clean it up and prime it to help slow down the spread.

I'll do a quick pass of polish tomorrow then wax her up.

My poor car has the same dang issue in the same location. Going to clean mine up sometime this fall, are you using OEM spray paint or what’re you going to paint it with?

3rd wash in 4 days....same number of washes I've done in the last 2 years [emoji51]

Day 1 was a foam spray & rinse, clay bar w/detailer spray, then mild dish soap wash to strip all oils/waxes, finished with a thorough rinse.

Day 2....nothing

Day 3 was a hand wash with shampoo, rinse, full dry in the sun then moved to the shade to cool off. Wrapped up with a quick pass of polishing to get the worst of the swirls.

Day 4 was another foam spray, wipe down, rinse, and full dry in the sun then moved to the shade to cool off. Finished it all with a coat of liquid wax.

That flake [emoji2956]

Lately not a lot of work on the fiesta as I've been trying to get a recently acquired 2000 Jeep Cherokee XJ up to roadworthiness...(read as; spending a lot of money on other cars and am just thankful the fiesta has been such a great daily). However I install the stickies I've had lying around in preparation for my first autocross this weekend! Super stoked!

Most of my car money the last 2 years has been going into 3 Jeeps. A '97 4.0 ZJ for the wife to daily, a '98 5.9 ZJ project toy, and my '98 XJ winter beater/dog transport.

FiST is a baby @84k miles compared to the 218k, 175k, and 358k miles respectively on the Jeeps.
