Bottom of the car is looking more flat now. Do you have plans in the future for a flat underbody? or no because of potential higher classing at events?

Haven’t driven with them yet. One of the parts I need to finish the car is stuck in customs so it might be a week or two before I can shake it down. The suspension changes were definitely needed. Scheduled to be at Road Atlanta on the 27th.

I was thinking about this after seeing how freely the suspension moves now. It’s boundless. I always felt a lack of responsive rebound at high speeds so maybe this will help my existing dampers return a little quicker. I’m leaning towards a digressive set next but I’m open to your opinions.

New seat is on the way. I sprung for the Racetech RT4100WTHR since it connects to the harness bar. I’m hoping it’s as cush as everyone’s telling me. Loved the OMP HTE-R but it was too short for my body. I’ll be installing my custom Bridgemoto seat on the passenger side so I can sell the OEM Recaros and OMP HTE-R to recover some cash. The Racetech seats are BAD ASS. I have one here for my other race car. It was one similar to yours, but it was the seat homologated for the 24hr of LeMans Vipers. So back in the day Chrysler made Racetech test the seats to 45gs of impact forces. That is equivalent to the current 2009 FIA certification. Most all seats we mere mortals use are FIA1999 Homologation. They are only tested to 10gs.

Attaching the seat at the shoulders to the roll cage is a good idea. Its a solid connection to feel what the car is doing and it supports the seat back while in an impact situation.

It’s 3” max and extends back to the center of the front axle. I guess I’ll build a 5” since they’re gonna class me street mod. Too bad nitrous and meth are illegal otherwise I’d just send this block for two sessions. I was gonna add splitter tunnels but need to find some fender vents to dump the air.

Diffuser after basically rebuilding it by hand. It begins at the end of the rear beam.

You are definitely into radical time attack aero territory now, albeit not as totally insane as the whole 'front wing' Pike's Peak type setups seen on the WRXes/STIs, and earlier Evos, etc.

Yours has to be one of the most furthest taken FiSTs in this country, as far as aero is concerned.

Thanks man! I’ve spent many hours on the track and in my garage over the years trying to make it faster and more comfortable for my driving style. The car has come together nicely and I’m really glad I created this build page to reflect. I still have no plans to change platforms which is pretty unusual for me. It’s STILL 100% comfortable on the street too, even with all the changes. I think my only gripe on the street is how loud it is but I can swap out the straight pipe with the CPe resonator in about 20min.

Other than splitter tunnels, fender vents, rockers, flat floor, built motor, full cage, fire system, custom forged wheels and a sequential trans I’d say it’s done. 😆

I just ordered a 5 liter jug of LiquiMoly's 5W-20 Molygen tungsten additive oil.

I've been itching to try this stuff, and the 5W-20 weight is really hard to come by here in the states, as only ECS Tuning would order it in for me.

I will try this on my next oil change before summer.
Of course, if I were open tracking the car as you are, I would've gone with at least their 5W-30 version of Molygen, if not their much easier to find 5W-40 weight.

I have run LM Hightech 5w40 religiously for a few years. I think that’s the only reason my hybrid and engine are still alive. That and frequent oil changes... I sometimes use 5w30 molygen at the end of the season through winter though. My car doesn’t burn any oil but I typically have a fair amount of blow by in the catch can each change (every four to five track hours). Thankfully this is one thing I usually get for free from a buddy. It’s actually the only thing I get for free and man I’m incredibly thankful. Oil gets expensive when tracking often. The 400s filter isn’t bad though and the engine doesn’t require that much oil! Gotta love the Fiesta.

And custom suspension, custom tubular twist beam, relocated suspension mounting points, solid steering rack bushings, more weight loss, etc. Then its done.
