I keep meaning to ask if anyone has any good suggestions for cleaning the seats. My car has 110k km (almost 70k miles) and the previous owner was apparently a mechanic that didn't bother cleaning himself up before driving home. My seats look almost that bad. Chemical guys to the rescue apparently.
I bought the gallon only because it was an Amazon flash sale at 50% off, otherwise the 16oz bottle will be enough to make 2.5 gallons (dilutes 20:1). I'm mixing up bottles for my buddies and making my money back [emoji41]

Used a cheap dollar store brush.

Why would you loctite that? Not like its gonna vibrate and spin off....just curious. You need a fancy trim ring around that there shifter....give it alittle bling

Because if you tighten it down all the way the reverse lock out doesn't work, you back it off a turn or two and then line the shift pattern up. Once the loctite dries it should be solid.

After the stereo not working yesterday and hearing the dreaded 'click click click' this morning I made a run to the battery store. All is working properly now.

In other news I put a new board together. Santa Cruz Rob Roskopp face deck in gooooolllllld.

Cleaned the interior of my car for the first time in a couple months. Haven’t had the motivation to because it’s been 100 degrees out, even hotter in the garage. Need to clean my seats next. Now that all the dirt and stuff is out of the cracks I see all sweat, dirt and oil in my seats lol

What's that filter around the brake fluid reservoir?

Sent from my OnePlus 6T using Tapatalk
It’s called a reservoir sock, not a filter though. Supposed to catch any fluid that may leak from the cap.

At 40k today I drained 1.5l of Ford dct factory fill, and put 2l of ravenol back in. I think I should have done this sooner.

Why do you think you should have done that sooner? I am at roughly 10k and have heard the crunchy clunk from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd since 5k. I really don't think the halfshaft replacement Ford wants to try and fix it with will actually fix it, so I'm curious if the fluid change helped the noise.

How does that paint hold up to the heat in the engine compartment?

Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
I can't say for sure. I don't think the engine cover gets hot enough to call for high temp paint, but I guess I'm going to find out once I drive it

It does look nice. That said, that’s the first thing I did to the car - took the cover off. Because too hot.

The fluid was a little dark, and had a fair bit of metallic sparkle to it with larger visible specs in the bottom of pan. It was also a little under filled. Hard to say yet if it helped with the notchiness. I also added powerflex race inserts at about the same time. In spirited driving I would frequently miss 2nd and grind. The inserts will help that more than the fluid, but it can't hurt.
