Had an event today. Was a bit rough. I tried removing the rear seats, and already had the spare tire out for this event and the car just felt all over the place especially during braking. Just super sketchy and wandering in the back when I'd brake for a corner. Acceleration and the turns themselves felt fine, though it did feel like the rear didn't want to get out as much, felt like it was constantly gripping until I upped the PSI a lot.
Video from my best run, which sadly I hit a cone on.
One thing I still don't understand is why I have to run my PSI so high. First the RT770s and now the RE71RS. I hear all the time about people recommending to run these at like 27F/29R cold to get a 31/33 or so heat going. And well the rears wouldn't get above 30, and the front's felt just weird. I was constantly getting rollover on the front (Finally chalked my tires). And it wasn't until I cranked the PSI up to what I was running my RT770s at that my times improved a lot. Going to 37.5F/36R hot gained me over 1 second in time. The car just started to feel like it was responding to my inputs instead of delayed and mushy.
Next event I'm going to throw the seats back in and maybe even try the morning heats with the spare tire to see if it helps the cars balance on braking, at least till I get my coilovers in July.
