I have the Yokohama AD09s mentioned above, in 215/40-17, mounted on 17x8s and I am much more than impressed with the ride given the short sidewalls (but taller than factory, even on the 1" wider wheels), and relatively high (factory door label) pressures I run them at on the street.
These are also THE quietest 200 tread wear stickies I have ever used on the street, just rolling along, or accelerating (like a quarter of the noise level of the screaming above 20 MPH Federal RS-RRs!).
My 'two season' DWS-06+ almost make more noise, shockingly!
Yes, their grip level is way more than could ever be used legally on the street, but I also wanted that for pure, warm/hot summer use, to experience at least one on this car, and I can still bang some 90* corners at crazy speeds without attracting a lot of attention, given their no sliding (and no noise) at all grip level.
They are wearing quite well so far on the street, which is not too surprising for an 'endurance' type 200 tread wear donut (like the RT615s and Hankook Ventus RS4s, the latter of which has no sizes which we could use on a 17" wheel at all).
They also look great and sit very square on the wheels (not almost stancer stretched like some of the narrower tread width 200 tread wears out there when mounted on an 8" wide wheel), looking almost like a tarmac rally setup, which is what I was going for.
Their only real drawback is their co$t, which is exorbitant, unless you got them on a discount and a rebate like I did, from Simple Tire
