The 'poke' in the front with those 9" wide Braids is not half as bad as I thought it would be on the stock fenders.

Spent a few hours driving it in the mtns. Everything clears but I ordered some adjustable LCAs. Haven’t found a setup that gets the caster I am looking for yet.

idk how do people drive with random color headlights and never get pulled over? Or those blatantly illegal fog lights? lol it's not a crime if the law isn't enforced.

at least in oregon, i think a few other states did this too, cops can't fish for shit during traffic stops anymore. It was deemed unreasonable searching. This kind of kills the incentive to do traffic stops for most PDs.

You're not obliged to answer any questions cops might ask you during a traffic stop.

Drilled mine before I could reach out to them to tell'em not to. Immediately removed the plate and left the empty placard. There are plugs available but the holes are small enough to be ignored anyway so I pulled the placard and left them; no regrets.

In reference to the front license plates laws, there was literally nothing to gain by having front license plate laws. It was just another tool for selective enforcement.and if they want to nitpick, there are already 99 other things to nitpick over. If all they did was harass people for no front plate here, they wouldn't have time to do anything else. Got cited three times in one year for no plate; do you think I added one? Nope. Get used to it. Less than half of the vehicles passing me on such stops had a front plate. The dumb law was eventually replaced with one targeting aftermarket lighting, such as LED and HID in reflector housings. At least that one can make sense and haven't heard anything thus far about it being abused.

I'm not going to risk it and lose my CCW. You even have to report a traffic ticket and that may go against your renewal.

The funny thing, is I have a 1975 MG Midget, and it's on Vintage plates, but you only get 1. So TX has a front plate law, except for motorcycles and selective car regs.

The Focus Rs wasnt that much higher than the Focus ST* i know its just a pipe dream though.

Happy we get'n non-a-dat!!! You weight the rear drive axle? Don't forget to turn OFF traction control for hill climbs. (for any vehicle including FiST)

They'd probably have to stick a real frame on this vehicle before making it AWD? One of the things that makes it so lightweight is the lack of a real frame.

Only time I had trouble getting up the hill was with the low tread depth of the seven or eight year old Continental snow tires. SUV also with low tread-depth and wouldn't even leave its spot. My lightweight Fiesta could at least get 3/4 of the way. Oh, also had trouble with the all season Cooper tires. IIRC had to let a bunch of air out to make it.

I'm glad I live in the desert, supposed to 80⁰ today🥶... I do like snowboarding and drive up north, last winter got to experience a lovely storm and inches of snow on 300tw tires🥲 even with traction off my ABS was going nuts lol

Yeah, I know I went to school in Tucson, and had friends there from Prescott and Flagstaff, but just was not sure that there were any commercial ski/snowboard areas in those locales.

Snowbowl is in Flagstaff and they have like 30 trails and a park, and Mt lemon has some lifts and trails
