Well this morning before making the post here I took apart cleaned up and relubed the guide pins. The grease which had been in there for only 300 miles looked new still and so did the pins. Well I guess I did something right this time because now the squeak is gone! I'm guessing I either put too much grease or torqued the bolts down too tight 🤷🏻‍♂️. Weirdly enough it was still dragging when I checked by hand this morning, once driven tho no squeaking, and now it stopped dragging as well.

I got the EBC redstuff pads and there is no grove on them like the OEM. Just flat backing plates on all 4 pads. I don't believe that should cause an issue as all 3 other brakes work fine with no drag.
I believe he's talking about the knob on the edge of the back of the pad that needs to go into one of these grooves on the piston. Here's an EBC yellow pad I have but red should be similar. I was in the same situation; one side was randomly aligned but another one wasn't.

I did not notice if I have those or not, thanks. I probably just fixed the squeak then by accidentally reversing the pads into the correct positions since I thought both sides were identical.

Should have gotten the EBC Blue NDX..they have taken the EBC Yellows spot for street and Track duty. The Yellows have been down graded to DD Duty for the street only.

I wanted to, but EBC sells blues only with fancy drilled and slotted rotors which I don't need and for way more than yellows with plain ones. I don't track the car and I bet yellows will still be plenty for autocross.

how you guys feel about ebc blues?
same dusty as yellow?
would you consider the initial bite the same on and off feeling of the oem s pads?
how would you feel about them as a street/spirit driving pad?

Finally got around to installing the RSB I picked up from @WannabeST recently. Removed the DNA adjustable bar for now.

Don’t mind the B14s in the background… got plans for those. It’s starting to cool off and should have some wheels arriving from Spain any day now. Track season is nearly here!

Blue is what I use both street and track. They’re very good. It’s been so many years since I had OEM pads that I couldn’t compare the initial bite though. Dust about the same as yellows.

I've been going through my car, fixing the stuff from the previous owner that I put off. I have a 2019 with about 90,000 miles and I'm going to assume the fluid was never changed. The color was very dark. Thought it shifted great, but after I swapped it with bg synchroshift it made a surprising difference.
