I’d consider doing a run of the 986/SVT caliper brackets. If there’s enough interest (at least 5-10 sets) I’ll price it out. I’m guessing sub-$400 per set but I need to send out for some quotes (doesn’t make sense for me to make that many sets in my garage)

For context:

Want to start an interest thread? I’d gladly pay up front to help out with sourcing parts and whatnot. I’ll probably end up with the EBC BBK if it doesn’t end up working out to make more of your retrofits.

Thanks to @Zeille I was able to find the turbo coolant line locally, $67 is a bit lame though... Damn old connecter broke again while attempting to extract it and almost fell into the reservoir😮‍💨

Currently getting some 215/40 rubber mounted
I do like that they look meatier, now to see how much they rub with my H&R supersports

Well the rubbing is about the same which is cool, but the turn in does feel slower... I knew it would feel different but man it's different, feels more planted though so I'll take it

Dropped the CSF/Mountune Radiator in the FiST last week. Took the 205-210 at cruise and 230-240 under hard pulls coolant temps and dropped them SIGNIFICANTLY. 180-190 cruise now no matter the conditions even stop and go traffic with temps in the mid-high 90s-100 with 105-110 heat index. I've seen 205-210 max even under longer full throttle pulls. Should have put this in when I first got the car.

aftermarket radiators are a TOTAL game changer. i have a Mountune in my car as well, but I see higher temps due to traffic & stuff (i may see 218ish max after WOT for 15-20sec)

I recently replace my valve cover gasket and put new spark plugs in, but now I have a weird issue.

When I first start driving my speedometer doesn't match my actual speed. Once I hit 30mph the speedo corrects itself and the engine revs quickly. If I shift soon after, the revs will jump to 5k and hang for a second or two. Then the car drives normal with no issues. Happens every time I start driving, even when the engine is hot. I replaced my injection pressure sensor but that didn't help.

I can make an actual post in the correct section, just didn't know if this rings a bell for anybody.

Getting more miles under my belt & getting a lot smoother with the clutch.
Had a clear stretch from a light onto the toll rd, car pulls nice & strong on a long on ramp, approaches high ticket speeds pretty effortlessly.

Had some help when I changed the oil the other day.

I also got under the rear of the car to check on the rear spring pads and they are mostly disintegrated. I have some $$ set aside for some suspension mods but it looks like I'll need to get the project started sooner than I thought.

Finally finished making rear cover sticker board like Jeff made some years back. Might have a few more add but if not, I’m happy with it as is. IMG_1861.jpeg

I made an interest post for making a small run for the 986/SVT Brake Kit brackets. We’ll see what kind of response we get from everyone here:

Bit the bullet and ordered staggered wheels from Spain a few weeks ago. This gave me the opportunity to demote the x8” track wheels to daily duties. Today is the first day driving on them compared to x7” RPF1 with the same tires. Not only is the contact patch .5” wider now, but steering response & lateral grip have noticeably improved despite being ~1LB heavier per corner. Looking forward to x9s on the front of this thing on track this winter.

I've got an old cargo cover I can cut apart for a template and have the wood panel sitting here but I've been lazy and still haven't done mine yet.

On August 29th, I did my radiator fan in a record 30-minutes. Compared to the previous 2-3hrs it took me in July of 2024.
Radiator fan failed under warranty, and I was able to get a new one from RockAuto within 2 weeks. Module fried or something. Picture of the old one out & the new one in. IMG_1129.JPEG

If you're looking to get a new headlight there are some affordable options over at Carpart.com. I got a pair of replacements to replace my faded ones for right at 200 dollars.

I'm getting a faded but intact (lens & mounting tabs good) driver side one from a guy on the forums along with the circular air vent on the drivers side for a total of $30 (passenger headlight is still good, no need to replace it) and I'm going to spend the time and money to restore both headlights rather than spend big bucks on new headlights
